Oh you poor thing! I’m so sorry, and I’m glad you’re feeling a little bit better now. In a strange twist of events, I had many of the same symptoms yesterday and today, but without the actual puking part — mostly just feverish, shivery, achey, queasy, and bone tired. What gives? We NEVER get sick!

Do you not find it hard to see your screen, though, outdoors? That’s always the biggest impediment for me to getting work done while I’m on vacation or somewhere with an actual balcony (not stand-cony).

Their yard is lovely, though! And a random aside: Have you read the book “Hemingway on Writing?” Scott gave it to me during our early years or dating, as he’s also one of our (shared) favorite writers. Which reminds me, once I’m finished re-reading the final Harry Potter, it’s about time I re-read “A Farewell to Arms,” as well…

If you’d ever like to read a literary example of numbers made into beauty pick up Carl Sagan’s Contact. The film was good but the book has something special for math nerds and astronomers.

For non-fiction try Born on a Blue Day by Daniel Tammet.

Except for reading about them sometimes, I don’t much get numbers.

We made the decision. Actually, it was Leah, the World’s Most Obsessive Planner that made the decision. I was all, “Let’s just see what happens,” and she’s all “I’M OVULATING!!!”

Letting biology make the decision for you means that there’s no pressure, until you realize that stopping the pills is, in and of itself, a decision. Then when you don’t get all pregnant and shit, then you start to wonder what’s wrong, etc. There is no winning in this situation.

Wait! I take it back! Winning is when you get your Wombat. That part is winning.

My dad is a numbers dork. Like, he is FASCINATED by interesting dates (9/02/10 anyone?), addresses, numerical palindromes, etc. He, too, gets so excited about a discovery that he will repeat it at us fifteen or twenty times.

There will never be a “right” time. You will never have “enough” money. You will never be completely ready. No one is. But the magical thing about getting pregnant is that it becomes the right time. You have just enough money. You are ready. I think you guys would be great. Just go off the pill, already! I cant even describe the feeling once you find out. You wont regret a single second.
